The call taker was very nice, but she couldn't answer my basic questions. Freeway Ford Does Not Honor Signed Contracts – Buyers Beware
I purchased a 2024 Ford F-150 from Freeway Ford, trusting that the terms in my signed agreement would be honored. Instead, I later discovered that the dealership had started my warranty nearly nine months before my purchase date—without ever informing me.
At the time of sale, I was given a signed “We Owe” document stating that my warranty would be 42 months/42,000 miles from my purchase date. But when I checked later, I found out that Freeway Ford had already activated my warranty on April 30, 2024—cutting nearly a year off my coverage.

I live out of state and Bought a used Toyota pickup from Freeway Ford over a month ago. I paid in full. I contacted Freeway 4 or more times to get the Title, tags and license plates. This dealership is in serious need of work. I was working with the General Manager Rob Steward through some issues I am having with a vehicle I purchased from this dealership. I bought a new car there a couple months ago and totally regret it. So many things have gone wrong with it already and I haven't even put a 1000 miles on it. Never been so disappointed with buying a new car. I just want to trade it for a different one. This one has major problems. Yes I've had some things fixed but problems just keep popping up. Unexceptable.
If I could give this a zero, I would. They took FULL advantage of my mother who came in to buy anew vehicle. She had the vehicle for 2 weeks and ever since has had nothing but issues. A 2022 with 2200 miles on it and it's all issues and they refuse to help her! I'm am in awe and i.am truly disappointed in how they treated a single older woman. They took full advantage.
Very poor customer service. They reached out a week before Thanksgiving to let me know of a couple recalls they had done to my vehicle in the past that they wanted to re-check as they believe they may have been done incorrectly or not at all. The first appointment they had was the day before Thanksgiving (11/24). These guys sent me a text to check on some Carbon Monoxide thing they installed 4 years ago on an F150. They offered a free oil change, so I brought it in even after I told them I bought my truck from a different dealer, and asked them to confirm. In the past I would not have considered buying an American car because: 1. American companies have tenaciously fart CAFE mandates; they have cranked out big, gas guzzling cars, and 3. The quality frankly was not that great. Fords recent, major changes one me and my wife over. We are very, very pleased with our Ford Escape Hybrid.It is well-built, hvas the features we were looking for, and the price was very reasonable. The finance staff we worked with is not listed below, he is relatively new I guess, but he was very competent. Tim Ross was superb.

Salesman Brian Steinhorst treated me courteoslt, but failed to instruct me adequately on the ins and outs of several features. He only explained the sync system briefly which caused me several frustrating return trips to Freeway. Turns out neither he nor the general manager could answer all my questions. This is the 4th vehicle we have purchased from Freeway Ford. Both sales and service are excellent. Our salesman Justen was wonderful. He was very familiar with the vehicle we were looking at and was able to provide answers to all our questions. I contacted Freeway Ford over the internet and spoke to Nolan regarding a Ford Expedition Platinum Max. I asked if he could hold the car since I am 12 hours away and I didn't want it to sell before I could complete all the necessary paperwork. Called and made an appointment because it's by appointment only during the stay at home order. To drive 1 specific vehicle 3 hrs later drove 1hr and 10min to get there then they went through a vehicle inspection on my trade just to inform me they could not sell me the vehicle I came for because they took a deposit on it! Everyone was really nice, professional, and extremely helpful. We were able to walk in, drive the car we wanted, and get a reasonable price. And they took extra precautions for coronavirus, which was appreciated.
The actual time it took including my driving off with my car was unacceptable! It shouldn’t take 4 1/2 hours on a Monday mid afternoon.

Stopped by to test drive an EcoSport as I was buying one from an out of state dealer. Tad took me out in a 2020 model for a test drive. Liked the drive so was going to proceed with buying from other dealer. Without knowing this Tad worked the numbers on a 2019 SES I was going to buy a base model with other dealer. For a smaller monthly payment I got a vehicle with more options at a better interest rate. Glad Tad went the extra mile and worked up the numbers
I was at Freeway Ford today looking at and driving a 2019 Mustang Bullitt that they had advertised on their website for $45,459. I drove and loved the car but when we stated talking price, Shane, one of the salesmen wanted me to pay MSRP. I'm not sure why they think people are stupid enough to pay MSRP. This is false advertising and made me a lifelong enemy of these people. Funny thing is, I had the cash to pay for it.

Excellent service from the info station to the salesman- Wonderful people including the finance man, Lincoln. My salesman, Nolan Monke was able to put together another impossible deal. They found the truck I wanted in the right color. I have now had four different colored F150's. Red, Gray, Black and Velocity Blue. Be back for service and another F150 in 39 months
To keep this concise without getting to specific, all I will say is that I have never heard so many sales people (that should be experts on their product) say "I dont know" in response to any and every question that was asked. I will acknowledge that they were polite, though there was not a single question that they had an answer for regarding function (i.e., how does this or that work?). Have not ever had that type of experience with any prior dealership in the past.
CV Boot was replaced along with a drive shaft. Oil from boot got on engine parts and burns. Fumes go into heating system in cab. Techs apparently cant get the oil off. OK while moving.At Stop lights the stink at times requires me to roll down my windows. Not fun on cold Minnesota winter days. Maybe someday it will be gone.
The original encounter was not good until we deal with Tad the outcome was great. The people were all very friendly and I would recommend the dealership.

Needed a new water pump and oil change. Had the truck towed in a day early and the service manager, Brian, wrote it up. He was friendly, efficient and courteous. The diagnosed the problem that afternoon and had it done by 10:30am the next day, sooner than I expected. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars this time is due to the technician not replacing the oil change sticker. Not a big deal but it shouldn't be missed. Otherwise very happy with Freeway Ford service department.
This was the craziest thing I’ve done. Wasn’t planning to buy a new flex but Shane found me an excellent replacement. A new model with a lot less miles. Shane was a lot of fun to deal with.

I had a recall fix at this dealer for my 2015 Ford Explorer. The scheduling assistant was very friendly over the phone, they got the job done in a few hours, and they provided a courtesy shuttle to and from my house.
I had brought my truck in for a couple recalls and general maintenance. I also told them I had a small oil leak on my driveway. They told me it was only a seal needed on the oil plug. Less than one week later I was back now with a much larger oil leak on my driveway. Now I was told that I needed a different part replaced for an additional $400.00. I find it hard to understand how in less than 1 week after service, that this new leak suddenly appeared and was to be repaired on my dime.
Dealer service/repair is always spendy but the service I got was quick, with no appointment needed; the recommended further repairs only only confirmed what I already knew, nothing new
I received excellent service well I was there today getting my oil changed and tires rotated. I will be back the next time I need service.
I will do anything to avoid going to Freeway Ford ever again. Mr. Gustafson is consistently rude and condescending in manner and tone, interrupting, cutting off and speaking over me and other clients. He quickly escalates a conversation into a shouting match. Over the four years since I purchased my vehicle here, Mr. Gustafson has repeatedly demonstrated a lack of respect for vehicle owners, and a lack of caring about the vehicle itself. He has, perhaps single-handedly, managed to turn me against the Ford Company for life.
Service was complete and fast. Representatives called with information during service and were honest about cost and service necessity. Will likely return. Only negative: representative (different employee than I worked with day of service) called at 6:30 pm the day after service asking me to fill out a review. This was not appreciated.
